Who We Are

Africa International Trade Women Network (AITWN) is non for profit organisation established to connect, empower and increase business activities of Women across the globe for economic growth and development.

We have networks in most African countries, Europe and America. Our network comprises of women, youth as well as men sharing knowledge with other countries.

The trends in trade have remarkably risen since the creation of the World Trade Organization (WTO), as a body of trade negotiations, policies, and rules.

Even though the WTO has made progress in pressuring countries to reduce restrictions, trade policies and rules may have favoured developed economies at the expense of weak economies such as Africa. AITWN is positioned to facilitate trade, encourage commerce and social development of women at all levels of the society.

With our primary focus on Agriculture, we support the economic development in the agricultural value chains and by leveraging the ratification of African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agreement we are focused on helping women develop and execute international and local trading opportunities.
